50 Shades of Navy

Navy is without a doubt this season’s black. Navy is so classy and sleek, I love wearing it. You can be chic in other clothing besides black (even though it is hard to imagine!) So for this post I am dabbling with men’s fashion as well as women’s fashion! My friend from college joined me on this post and it was so much fun! To be honest I was worried the pictures were going to look too ‘engagey’ but I think we did a pretty good job of not making it look like that! Chet and I seemed to master the matching without matching look very well. Talking first about Chet’s outfit! Pairing a pair of chino’s with a tee shirt and a nice jacket is the perfect outfit for the spring and summer months. This is casual yet nice enough to go to a low key sit down restaurant. Switching between the Member’s Only jacket and the quilted navy jacket from Zara is showing how you could wear either jacket with this outfit. Wearing the navy quilted jacket pulled the blue from Chet’s eyes, shirts, and shoes together perfectly.

As for my outfit I chose a navy romper! There is a new brand at Nordstrom called Chelsea 28 and I am obsessed with EVERYTHING they make! So no shocker here… this romper is from Nordstrom and is Chelsea 28! This romper is scalloped on the edges which adds a really nice touch to it. To add a little edge to what otherwise could have been a very preppy outfit, I added a big bib necklace and some lace-up shoes.

I hope you all wear lots of navy this season, it is bound to keep you Vest Dressed!
