I am so excited to be collaborating on this post as well as many others to come (yay!) with another redhead blogger Amy from caught-redhead! She is very new to blogging so everyone welcome her in by checking out all of her social media handles…Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest! In this first post Amy and I are both discussing what our beauty must have’s are! If you are not a redhead I still suggest these items so keep reading no matter what color hair you have!MAC Lotion
Haley: Oil Control Lotion by MAC: I have the oiliest skin around and I am not a fan. There is nothing worse for me than going to the bathroom midday and seeing that I am so greasy! This MAC oil control lotion does the trick! The lotion makes my greasiness decrease dramatically and it is the only lotion that has really worked for me!
Amy: Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer: I have been using this same moisturizer ever since I can remember! I tend to have more dry and flakey skin on my face, so I need intense moisture. Other face lotions I have tried tend to be so heavy and oily, instead of moisturizing. The Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer is the perfect amount of hydration without being heavy. I cannot live without this lotion! And it has SPF in it which is always a plus for my fair skin!Stila One Step Primer
Haley: Stila One Step Correct: Stila One Step is by far my favorite primer! It is 3-in-1 magic swirled into a tube and there could really be nothing better than that. Each of the colors do something different for your face. The peach color brightens your face while neutralizing sunspots. The green neutralizes redness which I am forever grateful for! I have a very pink/red natural undertone in my face so this swirl of the green is my personal life-savor. And the Lavender counteracts sallowness. I love how one tube can do so many great things for your face. Just put a squirt onto a makeup sponge and watch the magic happen!
Amy: Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm : Over the years I have tried a couple different primers, but this Naked Skin beauty Balm from Urban Decay is by far my favorite!! It is the perfect weight and has a slight tint, so on those days I don’t necessarily want to put on foundation, I can just use this and it looks great! It corrects your skin and gives it a really nice glow. I also love it because it has a sunscreen in it as well.MAC Foundation
Haley: MAC Face and Body Foundation in C4: This foundation is EVERYTHING! This is an extremely full coverage foundation so it is perfect to cover any pimples and/or redness in your skin. Whenever I am breaking out really badly I pull out this bad boy and my life is saved. For anyone with little imperfections or pimples that you are trying to cover up but can never seem to, this is the stuff for you!
Amy: bareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Vanilla with bareMinerals Smoothing Face Brush: I just recently bought this foundation and brush, and I am totally hooked! With my fair skin and freckles, it is near impossible to find a foundation that corrects redness and blotchiness without covering my freckles! I have always loved bareMinerals makeup so when they released this foundation I thought I might as well try it. It is amazing, and the brush is a must buy! It blends the foundation into your skin perfectly!NARS Concealer
Haley: Benefit Erase Paste in Fair: Erase paste is really my savior. It honestly erases my imperfections while brightening my eyes and face at the same time. This is one of the best correctors I have used and I highly suggest it! Plus the packaging is so cute!!
Amy: Nars in Chantilly: Nars is probably my favorite makeup brand. I started with their lipsticks and have branched out to all their different products. I bought their concealer stick, just to try it out, and now I rarely go a day without wearing it. It is the perfect tool to cover up dark circles under my eyes and random problem spots. It goes on and blends in so smoothly. I usually apply in in a triangle formation under my eyes and then use a damp blender ball to blend in, and it instantly brightens up my eyes!
Haley: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn: I love, love, love Dipbrow! Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow first stole my heart when I saw that it came in the color “auburn”. Honestly, I was just going to buy it for that sheer purpose. My oldest sister actually informed me about Dipbrow and after playing around with hers on Thanksgiving break I immediately ordered some. For all of you that do not color your brows in, take my word for it, do it and do it now. Coloring your brows in makes a HUGE difference in your face. This Dipbrow is waterproof so it stays on all day long and looks just as fresh at the end of the day as it did when you put it on in the morning.
Amy: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Auburn: For redheads, it is SO HARD to find an eyebrow filler to match the color of our eyebrows! I must have tried about 20 different colors, and most were either way too blonde, or way too brown! Before that, I had been using the MAC brow pencil in Redhead, which was okay… but I never really felt like it totally matched. So I was complaining about it to my friend who is really into makeup, and she told me that she saw that Anastasia Beverly Hills had a brow color called Auburn. So, I went to Sephora and bought it. The first time I used the Brow Wiz in Auburn I literally yelled “I finally found one that matches my brows!” It was an amazing day, to say the least! I love the Brow Wiz because the gel pencil goes on so smooth and the brush blends it into the hair flawlessly!MAC Mascara, Dior Waterproof Mascara
Haley: MAC Haute and Naughty Lash Mascara and Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara: Mascara is definitely something that I cannot leave the house without. I love the MAC Haute and Naughty lash mascara because it is two-ended! One side has an everyday mascara brush and then you have another side that has a huge wand and it is perfect for going out! It gives me the biggest lashes and I always get compliments on it! The Dior waterproof mascara is a no brainer for anyone that loves waterproof mascara. This mascara will not come off ALL DAY long. I have worn this mascara in the pool and in the ocean and it has stayed on and not smeared all over my face when I came out of the water. These are my two must have mascaras that I highly highly suggest!
Amy: Clinique High Lengths Mascara and L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes: So Audrey Hepburn is my idol and I always wanted lashes like hers. They are seriously amazing! So long and voluminous! Her makeup artist said that he would go through and separate each lash with a safety pin so she had no clumps. Well, I don’t have the time or the patience to do that but I think I might have found the next best thing. I use the Clinique High Lengths Mascara because it makes your lashes SO long and full! The unique brush separates all your lashes and adds major length. Then I use the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes to help make my lashes look fuller. The best thing is that neither one of these mascaras make your eyelashes clumpy! I love them both and together they make eyelash magic!NARS Blush
Haley: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dazzled: I love this blush! I first tried Tarte cosmetics after watching a Zoella beauty haul (I LOVE ZOELLA)! In the compact case the blush actually looks really dark but once it is brushed on your face it is the perfect light pink color! I am a huge fan of Tarte blush and their mascara so everyone should try them out!
Amy: Nars Blush in Orgasm: Like I said before, I love me some Nars makeup. Even though the name is a little R rated, this is seriously the best color of blush. For some reason in the picture it looks really orange, but it is the perfect combo of bronze, pink, and shimmer. It goes on so light too, so you never end up looking like a doll with super overdone cheeks! I know so many women who use this blush, because it looks amazing on every complexion and skin tone!
I hope you all enjoyed learning about some new makeup products and why we are both so obsessed with our picks!
