Fishnets are back and bigger than ever right now. Wearing them under jeans or skirts is the ‘cool girl’ IT look. Might feel weird when you first put it on but it is so cute so have the confidence to rock it!
Dust off your lava lamps because the biggest trend from the seventies is back! That’s right…FLARES! Flared jeans are back and bigger than ever. I love flares, they are so much fun to wear. Something else that is extremely back is the all denim look, also known as the Canadian Tuxedo! I am always a bit weird when I have to pair denim on denim but with this outfit I could not wait to pair the two together.
Today my sister and I went to the Arts District to see all of the amazing street art that is covering the streets from head to toe! It was so neat to see all of the art and to explore another part of downtown Los Angeles. Of course while going to the Arts District I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for backdrops for one of my blog posts! This post is all about patterns, patterns, and MORE patterns!! I love mixing and matching patterns, keeps my style funky fresh!
So I am sure you all are learning very quickly that I am OBSESSED with plaid since so many of my outfit posts incorporate plaid into them. I have had my love affair with plaid ever since I can remember (pretty sure my first bikini from Limited Too was plaid)! So when I saw these plaid pants I just had to get them!
These last few days have been so exciting and emotional! I have officially graduated from college (so exciting) but unfortunately I have had to say goodbye to so many good friends. To all my beautiful friends out there, it wasn’t good bye it was see you soon <3
I thought putting this outfit together was perfect because now that I am a graduate I have to start dressing business casual for interviews and future jobs! This would be a perfect business casual look while still being able to show your full personality! Let’s get to the outfit details! And of course, there is plaid, because well, I am just MAD for PLAID!!
I have to start by saying that I was SO thankful for my sister letting me borrow her awesome new Kate Spade Sunglasses! They were a lifesaver. For some reason I could not keep my eyes open for the life of me (it was tragic) so I slipped these diva Kate Spade Sunglasses on and I was set! I am completely jealous of these sunglasses and want some for myself! I love how big the frames are on them and how fun they are to wear!
Of course my skirt is plaid, which I love! Not only is this skirt plaid but it is also scalloped at the bottom making it the best of both worlds! This skirt is from ASOS and I would highly suggest it. Pairing a white ruffle cami with this skirt and a nice blazer like I did hear makes for a very fun yet sophisticated look.
Let’s talk tights!! I have received few questions about what outfits to wear tights with and where I get my tights so I am going to discuss those questions! The tights I am wearing are from J.Crew and whenever I want some new tights I always go to J.Crew to get them! The tights that J.Crew sells are really great quality and they last for a really long time. I love wearing a thicker tight (like a sweater tight) as well, it just depends on what type of outfit I am pairing with the tights! Most tights are footed which is nice because if you are pairing tights with an outfit it is so you can stay warm while still wearing versatile outfits in the wintery months and staying chic. So don’t be scared to try some tights with an outfit because it could make all the difference!
I am a complete Gossip Girl fanatic (hopefully some of you are too??), and I have to say I LOVE Blair Waldorf so whenever I can I try to channel her and I think this outfit did a pretty good job at channeling my inner Blair Waldorf! If you have a Gossip Girl inspired outfit be sure to comment and show me!
The chic simplicity of a nice pea coat is perfect to add to any outfit in the wintery months. This is one of my favorite outfit combinations I am wearing! A classic black and grey outfit with some pops of leather. The pea coat I am wearing also dresses up my outfit just a tad which I love!
This outfit is pretty funky fresh in my opinion! I for some reason feel like an ice skater in this outfit and I am still not really sure why! Haha non the less this is such a fun outfit to wear and I feel like I am channeling my younger Carrie Bradshaw from the Carrie Diaries (anyone else watch that?!) Anyway let’s get to my outfit details!!
This outfit I put together is just so fun! You cannot go wrong with a simple skater skirt (also currently 60% off)! They are perfect all year long! Just throw some tights on like I did if you are wearing it in the wintery months!
The bow top I am wearing is from J.Crew but they do not sell it anymore unfortunately! This bow top however is almost better because it is long sleeve, which will keep you warmer in these wintery months! It also has horses and a big bow on it, which I absolutely love!! This cozy cardigan is from Brandy Melville and I literally pair this sweater with almost every outfit! It is also perfect to pack in your bag with you because it is so light weight!
I loveeeee this head wrap I am wearing (color: heathered mint)! I love wearing hair accessories to spice up my normal hair routines, they are so fun!
What are some of your favorite funky fresh styles?! Be sure to comment and let me know
