This orange plaid dress called my name as soon as I saw it! It has major Rachel Comey/Tibi vibes so obviously I LOVE it. Keep reading below to see how I styled it and some ideas of other ways it can be styled.
Plaid season is back and cuter than ever, duh! If you don’t know by now that I am obsessed with plaid then hopefully you are just a new reader! Plaid is my favorite ever – I try to wear it in every season possible! I found this amazing plaid Topshop shirt and I cannot wait to show you all how I styled it. Keep reading to get the look 🙂 XO Haley
Plaid and jean are constantly being worn over and over but this time I paired the two together. I have had my eye on the plaid I am wearing for a long time! I love that this plaid has a bunch of different colors in it and is a bit more original than most plaids AND that it has only one pocket and not two pockets. I hateeeee two pocket button down shirts on myself because I feel like it accentuates my boobs which is always the last thing I am trying to do! I call them boob pockets in fact haha
Blanket scarves are probably one of my favorite inventions, at least at the moment! They are so comfy AND stylish and there is honestly nothing better. It is finally getting cold in LA and I tend to always be cold anyway so this is perfect for me to bundle up in. Restaurants and movie theaters are the best for bringing blanket scarves to! I kept this outfit very minimal keeping it all black and white.
This weekend I went to MacArthur Park where they have candy-colored spheres in the lake. This was such a cool thing to see in an area that needs some major revitalizing. The artists put these colorful spheres in this park just for that reason. They wanted to show the people of Los Angeles that this park has a lot more to offer and many residents have been over looking its beauty. After seeing these spheres of hope it was clear that slowly MacArthur Park will come back to life with this art in the water.I decided to wear PLAID of course! My favorite pattern ever! I went here with my sisters and it was so much fun!
The LACMA lights took my breath away for sure. I have driven past them a bunch of times but I have finally had the chance to go out and walk through them! They are so cool but to be honest I thought they would be taller!
So I am sure you all are learning very quickly that I am OBSESSED with plaid since so many of my outfit posts incorporate plaid into them. I have had my love affair with plaid ever since I can remember (pretty sure my first bikini from Limited Too was plaid)! So when I saw these plaid pants I just had to get them!
As we shift into winter I thought I would post just one last fall outfit post! This outfit could also be worn in the winter however. Just add a hat and gloves and you are set. P.S. check out the beautiful trees behind me!!
I have been wanting a Barbour jacket for quite some time! I finally splurged and got one and I am completely obsessed!! I love that the sleeves and the inside of the coat are plaid! As you all know from reading my previous posts I am obsessed with plaid! It is so fun and adds major flavor to any outfit. The Steve Madden boots are my go-to brown tall boot for the fall and winter season! I absolutely love them. They are very comfortable and extremely affordable. This Faux fur infinity scarf I am wearing is so incredibly soft. My neck was so warm the whole entire day I was wearing this. I love it so much I also got one in black!!
I hope everyone is enjoying the change from fall to winter! I am escaping out of the cold for a bit to go on vacation with my family! If any of you are heading somewhere tropical for vacation too be sure to let me know!
These last few days have been so exciting and emotional! I have officially graduated from college (so exciting) but unfortunately I have had to say goodbye to so many good friends. To all my beautiful friends out there, it wasn’t good bye it was see you soon <3
I thought putting this outfit together was perfect because now that I am a graduate I have to start dressing business casual for interviews and future jobs! This would be a perfect business casual look while still being able to show your full personality! Let’s get to the outfit details! And of course, there is plaid, because well, I am just MAD for PLAID!!
I have to start by saying that I was SO thankful for my sister letting me borrow her awesome new Kate Spade Sunglasses! They were a lifesaver. For some reason I could not keep my eyes open for the life of me (it was tragic) so I slipped these diva Kate Spade Sunglasses on and I was set! I am completely jealous of these sunglasses and want some for myself! I love how big the frames are on them and how fun they are to wear!
Of course my skirt is plaid, which I love! Not only is this skirt plaid but it is also scalloped at the bottom making it the best of both worlds! This skirt is from ASOS and I would highly suggest it. Pairing a white ruffle cami with this skirt and a nice blazer like I did hear makes for a very fun yet sophisticated look.
Let’s talk tights!! I have received few questions about what outfits to wear tights with and where I get my tights so I am going to discuss those questions! The tights I am wearing are from J.Crew and whenever I want some new tights I always go to J.Crew to get them! The tights that J.Crew sells are really great quality and they last for a really long time. I love wearing a thicker tight (like a sweater tight) as well, it just depends on what type of outfit I am pairing with the tights! Most tights are footed which is nice because if you are pairing tights with an outfit it is so you can stay warm while still wearing versatile outfits in the wintery months and staying chic. So don’t be scared to try some tights with an outfit because it could make all the difference!
I am a complete Gossip Girl fanatic (hopefully some of you are too??), and I have to say I LOVE Blair Waldorf so whenever I can I try to channel her and I think this outfit did a pretty good job at channeling my inner Blair Waldorf! If you have a Gossip Girl inspired outfit be sure to comment and show me!
