With so many holidays and holiday parties right around the corner the age old question of what should I wear to such and such event is starting to pop up. This season try something a little outside of the box besides just a skirt or a dress. Try a jumpsuit or a romper like I did below!
Fringe is a hugeeeeee obsession of mine if you haven’t caught on by now! Finding a suede fringe vest was like the icing on the cake for me. Wearing a vest in the fall can be a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it you will try to pair a vest with every outfit.
Vertical stripes are one of my favorite trends of this season! I have always loved stripes but I always think that they make me look wide because they are horizontal. Vertical stripes on the other hand are so slimming! I can’t wait to get so many more clothing items in vertical stripes!
While driving to my internship I always see a glimpse of the most beautiful mural and I have wanted to go to it for a shoot for months! Thankfully, I finally found the time to drag my sister (photographer) to it! I have always had a great amount of love for butterflies, the way they flutter around, how they are so brightly colored, and most importantly how they transform from a caterpillar to a butterfly. I hope you all enjoy the mural just as much as I do!
On Friday I went and visited the Louis Vuitton Series 2 exhibit in Los Angeles! This exhibit was extremely innovative and very visually appealing. There were about seven different rooms that the exhibit takes you through. Each room has a different visual for everyone to look at. It was so exciting and entertaining, I definitely suggest everyone checking it out if they are in LA!
Happy 2015 everyone!! I hope you like the new additions to the website! My amazing sister helped me fix it up and I added some topics that I will be discussing a lot on my blog. Be sure to check out her instagram for the prettiest scenic photos (@ktakesla)
So I am back home and more depressed than ever. If you all have been following my instagram (@vestdressed_) then you would know that I have been in complete paradise for the last 14 days! My family rented a villa in Saint Martin on the French side (I will be showing pictures of the beautiful island in my travel section of my blog later today!) and it was the most amazing vacation to date! I would highly suggest the French side of the island to anyone thinking about visiting! I thought I would show a few outfits that I wore while on the island!
So first before I went on vacation I went crazy on ASOS! They have the most amazing outfits for vacation wear and their website is even organized for vacation wear so it is all very easy to find!
The first outfit from ASOS that I sported was this outfit where I channeled my inner Kim Kardashian! I absolutely love Kimmy K so this was everything I wanted and more! Also you all will notice that with all of my outfits I have Flash Tatoos on! I cannot rave enough about these Flash Tatoos!! They are so fun and a MAJOR vacation essential!
I wore this Kimmy K outfit with my Rebecca Minkoff envelope clutch (that my sisters got me for Hanukkah!) that I absolutely love. I also paired this outfit with a turquoise necklace and earrings that I got in Marigot at the Bazaar in Saint Martin. For those of you who don’t know, a Bazaar is like a huge flea market but they sell lots of Caribbean items and it is a lot of fun to look around at everything!
This lilac (fav color!) shift dress is from ASOS as well and it was the perfect dress for the carribean. It is so flowy and I love that the straps are flowers! So cute and elegant! My sister who helped me fix up my sight is with me in this photo!
The second outfit from ASOS that I wore were the cutest pom pom shorts in the world. These shorts are SO comfortable and they have pineapples and flowers all over them. I paired this outfit with a crop top with an open back that I got from Nordstrom a few years back. This was a great combo!
The next outfit from ASOS I wore was a matching two piece set that I have been dying to get! I have wanted a matching set for quite a while and this one is absolutely perfect! It is so fun to wear and I love the fabric.
For my last outfit I FINALLY got a pair of funky pants!! I have been wanting some funky pants for a while and I found some on ASOS (of course) and even on sale (score!). These pants are by seafolly and I absolutely love them. They are extremely comfortable and extremely fashionable. I paired my seafolly pants with a Brandy Melville t-shirt and Jack Rogers! It was the comfiest combination possible!
Phew, I know that was a long post but I wanted to show a little of some of my outfits! I will post another vacation post roundup next week with some other outfits I wore!
Did any of you go on an awesome vacation over your winter break? Let me know if you did, I would love to hear where everyone went!
